Hey folks,
I was just wondering if anyone out there has started using the Millenniata "M-DISC" for permanent archival storage yet? These are recordable DVDs that use a mineral layer instead of an organic dye layer to record the data, so they don't degrade on their own like the 5-7 year lifespan of a standard recordable DVD.
However, I just ordered my first set, and so far I've managed to make three valid discs, and found 3 discs that aren't even recognized by the drive. I just wanted to find out if anyone else is using these and seeing this kind of defective rate in the media?
Thanks in advance,
- Johnson
